Oh cuan hermoso es el mundo de la moda.

Oh cuan hermoso y repentino es el mundo de la moda—nunca es suficiente.
No fue hasta este hermoso mes de septiembre que cambio, nuevamente.

Hace seis meses nos moríamos por paletas neutrales de simpleza y nos apartábamos de los estampados, que eran amor por favor, no líneas o figuras.

Sin embargo, seis meses después estamos adictos a los estallos de colores y diseños.
Así que si te preguntas, que usaremos este invierno ’13?

Geométricos.

Geeo-geoo-geometría amor.

Sip, piensa en David Hicks (decorador de interiores), arte pop y en los 1960.

Divierte con patrones descabellados  y colores voltéame-a-ver.
Se atrevido o vete a casa.

Oh beautiful world of fashion world.

Oh beautiful ever-changing world of fashion—I can never get enough.

It was until this wonderful month of September that it changed, once again.

Six months ago we were dying for neutral palettes of simplicity and straying away from print, which was please honey, no lines or shapes.

Six months later, however, we are now addicted to pops of colors and patterns.
What to expect for winter ’13?

Geometrics.

Gee-gee-geometrics baby.

Yeah that’s right, think David Hicks (an interior designer), pop art and the 1960’s.
Have fun with trippy patterns and head-turning colors.
Go wild or home.

Fashionistas están por todos lados—caminan entre nosotros.

Una de las cosas que adoro completamente de la moda es que es muy amplia. Leí una cita muy linda en Pinterest que me izo  darme cuenta que bello es el estilo personal. Lo eh dicho antes, y lo reiteró de nuevo, la moda solo es moda, el estilo es lo que perdura. Agregándole tu toque y gustos personales a la ropa es lo que verdaderamente captiva mi atención.

La cita decía que la moda es lo que nos ofrecen cuatro veces al año. El estilo es lo que tu escoges de esa moda…”

-          Empieza su primer año y  estudia Enfermería. 

Esta fashionista estaba sentada tranquilamente afuera del periódico cuando una de las editoras la vio y supo que un blog la esperaba.

Si debo confesarlo, admito que nunca me atrevería a hacerme un corte tan alocado (bueno…por el momento jiji). La admiro porque rompió los límites y siguió su deseo de ser diferente.

Fashionistas are all over—they walk amongst us.

One of the things that I completely adore about fashion is that it is so broad. I read a rather cute quote on Pinterest that made me realize how beautiful a personal style is. I’ve said it before, and I reassure it right now: fashion is just fashion, style is what endures. Adding your own touch and likings to clothing is what truly captivates my attention.

The quote said: “Fashion is what you’re offered four times a year. Style is what you pick out of that fashion…”

-          Meet Abby Rodriguez.
-          She is an entering freshman and is currently majoring in Nursing.
This fashionista was peacefully sitting outside the newsroom when one of the editors saw her and knew she must be blogged about.

If I must, I shall confess, that I would never do such an out-there hair cut (well…for the moment hehe). I admire her because she broke boundaries and followed her desire to be different.

-          “I was bored with my hair and wanted something. I’ve actually done my hair blue, but it turned all green and weird.
